Meet the Neighbors

I just couldn't resist posting pics of these cute gals.

I have a field on each side of my home with cows. One side is the milkers and the other side the Farmer has his young bulls and heifers. Their not in the same field all the time. The farmer does rotates them to 3 different fields.
Some don't like to miss a thing.
Believe it or not. I have a field day with them. They come running when they see me. They follow me when I walk up and down the yard. They like to be petted and hand fed. I know it sounds pretty sad that. I figured it all out one day when I need a break from unpacking.....lol
They love to have their pictures taken.

Some are just too cute
I  wonder why they have a tag in each ear. You would think that one would be enough but I guess the farmer wanted his gals to be stylin. The cow with tag 388 is my favorite. She is usually the first one to come to me. I need to give her name because 388 just doesnt cut it. What does she remind you of?

I wish I had a pic of the young bull that I feed. All I have to do is whistle and yell come on and he comes running for his snack most of the time. Then he lets my rub his nose and sometimes if Im lucky I get to feel his little horns.
Some are shy
Let me tell you There is nothing like being licked by a cow. It's like your dog licking your hand after drinking a large bowl of water but its tongues is huge. Its rather gross.....lol

My 1890 Farmhouse

Hey Everyone, Sorry I have been gone for so long. I haven't  realized how long it has been since my last post. A lot has changed since then. My family and I have just started a new journey in our lives this July. We rented an old 1890 stone farmhouse.

It has a lot of potential. Its a shame the owners left it sit empty for a1 and 1/2 years. We did do some cleaning up outside. I planted a few flowers in the front flower bed that I moved with us. That is just a winter over place for them right now. I just wish I had a roof over my front porch.

So I will be doing a lot more posting of DIY projects and make overs. Every room gets one. I just cant wait to show you the before and after pics. Im also getting back into my crafting. So you will get to see some of my projects I make for the house and yard.

Just a little fill in on the house. 4 bedrooms,1 and 1/2 bath, living room, a large eat in kitchen, hall closet, foyer with stairs leading to a little landing, back stairs leading to the kitchen. 2 side porches, upper side porch or balocny ( whatever you want to call it) and a craft room twice the size I had before. My little piece of heaven.....lol The house also sits on about 3 to 4 acres. We also have a lot planned for the yard next summer too. A vegetable garden, butterfly garden and so much more. I just cant tell all my plans yet. You have to wait and see what they are. ;)

To be honest, I am getting so excited about decorating the house for the Fall/Halloween outside. I have soooo many idea and pinterest isnt making it any easier.....lol

Trash to Treasure

Hey Everyone, I know it has been a while since I have last posted. Let me tell you I am so glad that every thing has calmed down a lot and I am getting my craft funk back. I believe I have had the worse case of cabin fever on top of everything else. I lost all my creativity but lets hope it is coming back to me.

I was in the garage looking around the other day and found 4 of these clementine boxes we saved over the winter.

As you can tell there are some big staples sticking out of the side of them. Sadly they hold these neat little boxes together. I scrapped the glue off the best I could. I then painted them  lavender and covered the sides with scrap-booking paper the best I could. I used an adhesive spray on the paper to adhere it to the wood. I was afraid if I used decoupage, it would make the paper more easier to rip.I even used some packing clear tape to adhere the paper to the bottom of the box and this is what I came up with.
I know its nothing real fancy or anything but its better than throwing them sway in the trash. The best part about these boxes.
Is they stack. So they will fit perfect on the shelves in my craft room. Now just to figure out what to store in them. You know the more I look at these I am thinking about changing the lavender to a lighter shade of purple or maybe even white.
