~Any Ideas~

Have you ever had a time in your life where you felt like your stuck in a rut? I am there right now. I can not get any motivation to do anything. I do my daily thing like laundry, dishes, take the kids to and pick them up from school, vacuum, and so on. I have been trying to make crafts. All I do is just sit there and feel totally clueless. I have even been having a hard time blogging. I wish I could figure out what the heck is a wrong with me.
Have you ever been in my situation and if so, What did you do to get out of it?

Peek-a-Boo! I see you

I think it's the body's way of resting...go out and get some Vitamin D in this sunshine and it might do the trick!!! I can't wait to plant my gardens...I've felt blah most of this LOOONG winter and I know it's from lack of SUNSHINE...ps had my vit D check for the first time this February and it was low...no wonder I was feeling crappy! Get yours checked
Hope you bounce back soon...

Patti~I think that happens to all of us. When it happens to me I do one of two things...(1)..get out my tub of patterns and my prim magazines with patterns..and leisurely flip thru them for ideas or (2)..look thru all my prim embellishments I'm saving for later.. and see if they give me inspiration for something new. These embellishments are things I've acquired at auctions, etc. that I just HAVE to have and then let them sit in a drawer for who knows how long :)Last year it was getting very close to one of my shows and I didn't have time to start anything new. I went thru my leftover heads, bodies, arms, etc..and created some of my favorite pieces from my leftover pieces I put together. Hope this helps!! Don't worry...this too shall pass. Maybe you just needed a break. Good luck!

Oh YEAH, Patti ~ HAVE I been there. In fact, I'm a little STUCK there. At least you're managing to keep up with your "dailies" - some of those have slipped by the wayside for me as well. Kind of like - oh well, who cares? I've been blaming much on the longer than normal, wretched, winter we've been having (snow last week yet) - but I know it's bigger than that. I feel bad for commenting without any concrete advice - but perhaps you can take some comfort in knowing you're not alone. I have also heard, as a couple other folks mentioned, that Vitamin D (as a supplement) is a good place to start. I think I'm going to give that a try. Best of luck to you Sweetie - if you find a majic cure, please let me know! Smiles & Hugs, Robin (Your kitty is ADORABLE!! What a face!!)

I get that way.
Just remember this too shall pass.
I just try to force myself to keep moving forward.
Sometimes I won't be in the mood to do anything, but when I finally force myself to start something, the motivation comes.
I do agree, sunshine helps.
When it is shunning try to get outside.
Even if it is to go out and relax in a chair.
Just seeing the sun and listening to the birds, helps.
Hope you get feeling better soon.

Hello dear-I think everyone has those times...try not to beat yourself up about it. Go wander around a few shops, browse through some magazines and you may find yourself inspired once again. Do something out of the ordinary for yourself and just relax...the doldrums will go away soon! Hugs

All so true Patti! This time of year it's natural to be drawn outside away from the craft room. When fall sets in, that's when I start getting the crafty feeling again. Sometimes I actually plug my sewing machine in on the porch on a nice day! Hang in there friend! ~*~Lisa

We all have those days. I take a break from doing crafts, that's when I clean my craft room, and reorganize everything ~ that usually puts me back in the mood, cause' I usually find stuff I forgot I had.
Hang in there! Enjoy your day!

How is your diet? Are are drinking enough water? And are you depressed about something? That is always the questions I ask myself...

I changed my diet a yr and half ago...I found out I had Celiac Disease...I cant eat gluten...which is mainly wheat, rye, and barley and contaminated oats...I feel on top of the world now...:)

I also drink alot more water...which is great...

I hope you get out of the rut you are in...try walking a few minutes a day...The fresh air is always a good thing!

Thank you for signing up for my giveaway!

Dearest Patty:
We all get in ruts some more than others and at more frequency than others...I just see it as seasons in life or seasons where you just have to do what your priorities seem fit, because, we can't do everything! Investing time in God, your children, spouse, and family far outweigh any temporal things we can conjure up here on earth...Just remember that those temporary things...the tyranny of the urgent..seem to fade away as we see what our real priorities need to be and that still small voice will tell us what that should be..Don't beat yourself up...Just try to take care of yourself and not get too bogged down...I'll pray that the Lord will strengthen you, give you grace and guide you in your decisions and life...Sincerely, Laura

Patti,
I have been there. Sometimes, I think you just have to get your priorities right. I agree with Laura above. You have to keep your focus on things that are of most importance.
Lately, I haven't done much decorating, I play around here and there, but for me, my job and daily life, and this includes my time with the Lord have to take precedence over all other things.
I enjoy this, but it can't dominate. If we always put him first, then all the rest falls into place. Don't feel too badly. I also know for certain that I have ADHD, and I think this has affected me more so lately than ever before. I REALLY am trying to get a handle on it!
Hang in there friend!
Hugs and blessings,
Renee

Patti ... I know what you are talking about. I get in ruts from time to time & they drive me crazy. I am slowly pulling myself out of one now. I think one of the things that is helping me is to be able to get outside & putter in the garden a bit. I think being outside ... be it working in the garden or just taking a walk in the fresh air & sunshine ... is good medicine. It helps to think about God while you are doing these things ... how good He is, the blessings He has given you, etc ... & thanking Him for these things. Meme has a good point in that this could be related to your diet. Too much caffeine & especially too much sugar can make you feel tired & sluggish & unmotivated. I will pray for you.
Blessings,
Shirlee
