Tole Painting

I have always wanted to try tole painting. I recently joined Tole Town to learn how to paint. They have such cute things there and some good tutorials on how to. I have learned so much just from watching and reading.
The other day I actually tried to paint my first piece. My only problem was I forgot to take a pic of what it looked like before but here is a picture of what it looks like now.

I guess it isnt too bad for my first try. I did make a lot of mistakes. My poor crow isn't suppose to be that chubby.
I wish I would of taken a before pic. It was really ugly. It was white with pink and blue flowers. Im not a blue and pink kind of person. As I continue to venture in my journey in tole painting. I will be posting pictures of my projects.  I will remember to take before pictures the next time.

Very good for your first time, Patti. Yes, practice makes perfect. I've been doing it for 20 years and still am learning how to do things.

I think it turned out cute - especially for a first project! And, hey, some crows are, in fact, "chubby." What's wrong with that? ;o) Hope you have fun - I did rosemaling for years...but it took so much time and practice - by the time I hauled all the paints out, mixed them, I was ready to quit - and then you had to clean the brushes, oil them, argghhh...And I was so, so, messy.... Hope you have a great holiday weekend! Happy Painting! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
