~Quick Question~

Wow! I'm on a roll. This will be my third post tonight. I have a quick question I would like ask. "Is it normal for flea markets to take a commission when you are paying rent? " I would really appreciate your opinion.
I though I would share another picture of my furkids. This is Nekko and Pandora sleeping on the floor together.

Prim Blessings,
 Patti

I'm not sure of flea markets but where I have a booth...in a prim shop...I pay rent ONLY and not a commission fee...I think you could say you only want to pay the rental and not the comm fee...they may do that for you...really try it!! If you're paying $30/month for a shelf then you shouldn't have to pay the comm fee. Women in general are not good negotiators!! I am learning though...

Hi Patti,
I have a booth in a flea market and yes I pay a rental fee for the space as well as a commission. I have delt with quite a few flea markets and have always had to pay for both. The fee (rental) is for the space say a 5'x5' which is what I have and pay $37.00 a month then the commission is a % of the sales you make which I pay 10%. Each market is different deppending on the size of the space and where the markets location is. If its in a city and a very busy location with lots of foot traffic the fee and commision may be more.
If you are in a shop (craft shop) you should only be paying a commision fee or some will charge a space fee only, but not both.
Hope this helps.
Blessings,
Jean

The commision fee normally goes towards the credit card cost and employees.Sometimes if you volunteer a few hours a week they waive the commision.Warm Blessings!~Amy
